How to apply

  • The minimum age to apply for the course is 23 years
  • Applicants are invited to submit a completed Application Form for 2018-2019 along with:
    • A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae,
    • A passport sized photograph,
    • Non-refundable application fee of €100, and
    • 2 References – please post  Degree Reference Request Form to two referees having filled out the blue section.

have successfully completed a Foundation in Counselling Skills Course and to have experience of personal development. Based on this application, individuals will be invited to attend individual interviews. Selected candidates are then invited to a group interview. Successful applicants will be offered a place on the course. Responsibility for final selection rests solely with the Training Team.

Fees, Assessment & Award

The tuition fee per annum for each of Year 1 and Year 2 is €3,950. The tuition fee per annum for each of Year 3 and Year 4 is €2,750. Please note that the quoted training fee includes the University Registration Fee, course manuals, creative materials, training venue but does not cover supervision, practice hour costs, cost of any accommodation or meals for the workshops or personal counselling costs.

Assessment

Assessment is continuous and based on submitted assignments, attendance, and feedback on personal development from self, peers and trainers.

Award

A BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy is awarded to students on successful completion of their studies.
