Fundraising Events 2011

So it's a New Year and there's a whole host of fundraising activities lined up to raise money.

Bord Gais City Marathon

Each year, over 250 charities benefit from the extraordinary fundraising of participants in the marathon and team relay. The 2011 Bord Gais Energy Marathon takes place every June bank holiday Monday and we're always recruiting individuals and relay teams to walk, jog or run the course for us and to fundraise money on behalf of the Centre.

Flore Women's Mini-Marathon

There is always the possibility of fundraising for the Centre at other events. The Flora Women's mini-marathon is being held in Dublin every June bank holiday Monday. If you're interested in fundraising on our behalf please contact us for a sponsorship card and t-shirt.

Evening Echo Women's Mini-Marathon

We're waiting for confirmatoin details for this years Evening Echo Women's Mini-Marathon which usually takes place in late September. As soon as we know more details on this great fundraising event we will post updates on this page. Fundraising Events 2010

Evening Echo Women's Mini-Marathon

A massive thank you to all our volunteers from staff, students, family members and friends who fundraised and took part in the 2010 Evening Echo Womens mini-marathon. Nearly 2,500 Euro was raised for the Centre from this single event and we hope next year will be bigger and better.

Sex & the City Night

Our Sex & the City night was held on Thursday 3rd June 2010. A fun evening started off with a gourmet buffet and cocktail reception at the East Village Bar & Restaurant in Douglas, followed by an exclusive private viewing of the much anticipated SATC 2 movie at the Gate Cinema in Douglas. Over 14,000 Euro was raised on the night. A massive thank you to all our generous sponsors:

    • Bord Gais City Marathon

    In 2010 we had 3 teams, including staff from AIB and Bord Gais, taking part in annual city marathon on Monday 3rd June 2010. Between them they raised 1,550 Euro. This was a really fantastic achievement given the day weather conditions on day and all the staff and Board of the Centre are absolutely thrilled with the participants dedication and support.

    Dublin City Marathon

    A sum of money was also raised by participants in the Dublin City Marathon on Monday 31st October 2010. We'd love more volunteers to take part in this next year.
